HEAC was amongst the first few NGOs to carry out a survey of the earthquake-hit areas of Pakistan.HeacRushed in medicines, Gypsona and trained personnel to provide relief to the effects. The earthquake has also destroyed most of the health infrastructure in the area. Thus necessitating the establishment of Tent / Pre Fabricated health facilities.

HEAC extended its earlier designed duration of stay in view of evacuation by most of the civil society organization from the affected areas and is still there providing basic health facilities.

HEAC realized through large scale surveys of the northern areas of Pakistan, that basic health facilities are not available even during normal times and hence decided to extend its programme to those areas even during normal circumstances.
